We’ve received word that AAUW has approved the branch’s charter and they’ve sent the branch formation paperwork to Doris. We hope that in the next week or so
- the branch will be “visible” in the http://www.aauw.org Member Services Database (so the branch members can find each other’s contact information)
- we’ll have a bank account and a PayPal account (so new members can join online)
- we’ll have the branch code so that branch members making year-end donations to AAUW can credit them to the branch
There are now 26 members (two have joined since we submitted the paperwork. They represent 12 of the 100 counties (Alamance, Cabarrus, Chatham, Cherokee, Forsyth, Guilford, Iredell, Lenoir, Mecklenburg, Orange, Union, Wake), three states outside of NC (FL, OR, VA), and 8 of the 21 community-based branches (Charlotte, Cherokee County, Greensboro, High Country, High Point, Raleigh/WakeCounty, Statesville, Winston-Salem).
Great job Birgit and Nancy in setting up our new branch website. Thanks to you both.
Doris
