Financial report for October board meeting

Here is the branch financial report for the 7/1/2010-10/15/2010.

Highlights:

  • We have tripled our membership (from 24 to 74) since our charter was awarded less than two years ago, and now have more primary members (42) than most of the community-based branches in North Carolina.
  • We continue on a sound financial footing, but we welcome donations to the branch from those who want to support this new model: http://bit.ly/aauwthb-donate
  • Of course donations to AAUW Funds are also encouraged. See the contribute links on aauw.org and after you login to the Member Services Database. AAUW NC encourages donations to the Ann Chipley American Fellowship endowment and the Charlotte Branch research and projects endowment (both part of the AAUW Educational Opportunities Fund) and to the other funds supporting AAUW initiatives.
  • We expect to have at least $147 in membership credits by the end of the year. Mari Pino del Rosario will be making proposals on how to allocate these credits.

This report will be discussed at the October 25 board meeting (via conference call). If you’d like more information on that, please contact president Doris Bernlohr.
