The AAUW Tar Heel Branch is a great way to introduce a friend to AAUW. Our “guilt-free” model (all our programs are grass-roots driven) gets our members information from AAUW and AAUW NC, but has no expectations that would place another burden on busy people. While this won’t be attractive to those who want to get involved in any organization they join, for those who are interested in supporting our community to break through barriers so all women have a fair chance, the information we provide has many opportunities to learn more about our issues and help advance the conversation on equity for women and girls.
